Class 3 is the final class at Pitsford and encompasses Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. Mrs Tuttle teaches the class, with Mrs Jackson and Mrs Street supporting the children with their learning. Mrs Holmes covers PPA/SEN release time for a day each week.
In Class 3, we work hard, challenge ourselves and laugh a lot! We aim to make the final years of Primary Education stimulating, exciting and enjoyable.
In Year 4, lessons adhere to the National Curriculum but also take the lead from us and our interests as this is when the best learning occurs.
Year 4 is also filled with lots of new opportunities and challenges to help us develop and become more independent as we prepare for Upper Key stage 2.
Alongside a varied curriculum, the children are able to extend their learning through trips, visitors and self-study projects. Our older children also act as buddies to the youngest members of our school.
Year 5 and 6 children gain even more independence as we venture away from school on a residential trip that provides them with numerous opportunities to complete various adventurous activities.
Year 6 ends for our children with a series of fun and exciting sailing lessons, before a performance of our Leavers’ Assembly allowing the children to say goodbye to their primary school before continuing their journey at their respective secondary schools.
